The national wind-solar demonstration project in China’s Zhangbei county, Zhangjiakou city, Hebei province, marked 100 consecutive days of safe operation last week with cumulative output of power over 100 million KWh.

The plant is the largest demonstration project in the world which integrates wind power, photovoltaic power, power storage and smart transmission, and is being hailed as a major breakthrough in China's technologies in comprehensive utilization of new energy.

According to operators, the national wind-solar demonstration project, having withstood the test of strong wind, intense cold and other inclement weather conditions and various modes of operation, can work stably and effectively in condition of high and low voltage caused by grid issues.
