Gamesa opens China 6th China plant

While a host of Chinese solar companies are reporting disappointing results and announcing a gearing down in capacity Gamesa, the Spanish wind energy company, has opened its sixth manufacturing plant in China, which is now the company's main manufacturing base outside of Europe.

Other good news for Gamesa includes a contract for a 48-MW project being developed by Datang in Liaoning province. In September it also won a contract to supply and install turbines with Huadian New Energy for a project in Inner Mongolia.
