Singapore gets new power management system

Singapore PowerGrid has announced that it will be working with Telvent to reduce service disruptions and power outages. SPGG will install the latest geographic information system and outage management technology called the Responder Outage Management System.

The system will provide the utility with a smart-grid-ready outage management system an interactive map of its electrical grid with real-time information. According to both parties this should help SPPG respond more rapidly and accurately to power outages and maintenance issues.
