Tackling the global climate crisis could reap significant economic benefits for both developed and developing countries, according to a new report.
Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has asked the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment to set up a national Green Climate Fund to facilitate future financial flow from the global Green Climate Fund into the country.

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has warned of an upward surge in migration caused by climate change this century, and counseled governments in disaster-prone Asia-Pacific nations to promptly enact a broad range of measures to stave off future humanitarian crises. In its new report, Addressing Climate Change and Migration in Asia and the Pacific, the ADB notes that more than 42 million people in the region were displaced by environmental disasters over the past two years alone. An undetermined number of those displaced became migrants, unable to return home or choosing to relocate to safer ground.
With the help of a new online portal launched by the UN climate secretariat (UNFCCC), the efforts by developed countries to financially support developing countries to reduce emissions and adapt to the climate change have been made more visible and transparent.

His national announcement strengthens the Ministry of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs guidelines warning provincial administrations to accept the reality of climate change and upgrade anti-disaster measures accordingly.
