Japanese power company, Kyushu Electric Power Co, is actively developing geothermal power, according to a report in the Denki Shimbun.
In addition to conducting studies for two new power plant sites, the regional power supplier to south western Japan will begin a demonstration test for a binary power generation system that can use low temperature steam for power generation at its Yamagawa geothermal power station.
