Wind Turbine Manufacturing

Gamesa Corp. Tecnologica SA, Europe’s second-biggest wind-turbine maker, is taking advantage of manufacturing costs even below those of China to open a third factory in India.
A wholly-owned subsidiary of Korean firm, Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering, DeWind, has been awarded the contract to supply five wind turbines to the 10 MW Wind Energy Institute of Canada (WEICan) research site on Prince Edward Island.
The Indian units of turbine manufacturer Gamesa and wind plant operator Caparo Energy are set to embark on a joint venture, according to reports.
